Generation Hope: Redefining Success Beyond Wealth | A New Path to Purpose
Two thousand people walk into a survey and get asked one simple question: "How much money is enough?"
Nobody said a number. They all said the same thing: two to three times whatever they already had. The person with a hundred grand wanted three hundred. The millionaire wanted three million. The guy with ten million?
Yeah, he needed thirty.
That's the hamster wheel right there. And here's the wild part: it's got nothing to do with money.
My recent guest Arunjay figured this out the hard way. He spent years chasing wealth because society told him that's what success looked like.
But every time he got closer to his goal, the goalpost moved. More hours, more stress, more of this gnawing feeling that something was off.
Then one day a friend told him to succeed in investment banking he'd need to be so greedy he'd knock out his granny's teeth for the gold fillings.
That's when the light bulb went off. This wasn't about being successful. This was about being miserable on purpose.
The thing nobody talks about is that constantly chasing more doesn't just make you unhappy. It actually keeps you stuck in scarcity mode. You're so busy grabbing for what you don't have that you forget to notice what's already there.
Arunjay's mom kept nudging him back to meditation, the practice she taught him when he was thirteen. Not because sitting still magically solves everything, but because it reminds you there's more to life than the endless chase. It connects you to something bigger than your bank account.
And here's where it gets interesting for anyone dealing with chronic illness: that same scarcity mindset shows up in your body. You're chasing the next treatment, the next doctor, the next solution, convinced that healing is always just out of reach.
But what if the answer isn't out there at all? What if it's already inside you, waiting for you to stop chasing long enough to notice?
That's exactly what we explore in this week's podcast episode. Arunjay and I dive into how shifting from scarcity to abundance changes everything, not just your wallet but your whole life.
Your health included.
